Dear Players, Coaches, Managers, and Families,
It is with great pleasure we invite all young badminton players in Sub 13 and Sub 15 to participate in this very first staging of the Hans Christian Andersen City Games, a major sporting event, which also features a Badminton Camp. The Games are planned to be a recurring event taking place in Odense, Denmark, in the beginning of July each year with Badminton as one of 18 sports to be represented.
The Badminton Camp is managed by European top coaches who are normally coaching players from the World Rankings Top 100, European national teams, and participants in the Olympic Games.
The camp provides an outstanding opportunity to develop your skills and thereby become an even better badminton player. We will offer technical, tactical and physical training at the highest European level.
At the same time parents and managers are invited to participate in a coaching course (i.e. Badminton Denmark’s First Coaching Course), which will take place concurrently with the training of the players.
The aim and purpose of the Games is to gather young athletes from all over the world to have fun and learn from each other.
Organisers
The Hans Christian Andersen City Games are organised in collaboration with Svendborg Badmintonklub, which hosted the qualification for the Youth Olympic Games in 2011. Previously the club has also hosted the Danish Championships for both seniors and juniors.
Date
